To instill love of Punjabi and Sikh education in Sikh children and their families by becoming knowledgeable about their rich heritage or To help Sikh children and their families become knowledgeable about their rich heritage of Punjabi language and Sikh Principles At Tej Publishing House we strive to engage children and adults whose primary language is not Punjabi in learning and teaching of Punjabi as a Second Language and in the foundations of Sikhi through history of the Sikh Gurus and understanding of Gurbani.

Stepping Stones books have been used by thousands of students in the last 30 years. The results have been astonishing. Scores of children who graduated after learning about their heritage from Stepping Stones materials, have gone on in life to achieve high places in society and their professions in many prestigious fields. Sikh children who learned bout their history and contributions of the historic Sikhs, imbibed those values and benefited immensely from the skills and confidence they gained as a result. Among our graduates, we have doctors, lawyers, software engineers, women leaders, enterpreneurs, sportscasters and attorneys who have argued cases in the Supreme Court of the United States- all while being proud of their Sikh identity.

Our Vision at TejPublishing is to equip all Khalsa School and Gurdwara administrators to plan, launch and run successful Khalsa schools where parents and children can not only learn the Gurmukhi script, Punjabi language, Guru History, Sikh History, and Gurbani, but make these learnings a significant part of their daily lives. We strongly believe that those who know where they are coming from, will go far in future. Educated Sikh children are more likely to honor, respect and own their Sikh heritage and more likely to continue on the path shown by the Gurus for the rest of their lives. We should wll work earnestly to equip our next generation of Sikhs with the tools to lead Gursikh lives.
