Tej Publishing House provides a number of different resources to teach Punjabi and Gurmukhi, Gurmat and Gurbani. We have a range of books to teach Punjabi as a Second Language (PSL), Sikh Guru History and Gurbani. These books are supported by weekly lesson plans. Each lesson plan includes exercises to review the previous lesson, teach the new lesson, practice the newly learned concept and additional homework practice. In addition to Punjabi books, teachers and students use Gurmat Sikhia (Sikh Studies) books to learn about a range of topics- from Guru Nanak to Guru Granth Sahib Ji to Guru Granth and Guru Panth.

Punjabi teaching curriculum is designed to teach Gurmukhi Script and Punjabi language so the children can:

• Read and write simple Punjabi text

Gurmat Sikhia curriculum is designed to achieve the Sikhi curricular objectives so the children:

• Gain knowledge of the Sikh principles through the life stories of Sikh Gurus
• Memorize Gurbani
• Apply message of Gurbani in everyday lives
• Gain confidence and pride in living a Sikh way of life
